Ease Is My Word for 2026

This year, I’m choosing EASE🌻

I know life will still require effort, and I’m not avoiding responsibility. I trust God enough to stop gripping everything so tightly. I have released control, and it feels good and intentional.

It actually feels like a deep breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding.

For a long time, I believed that if something mattered, it had to be hard. That progress required pressure. That success came wrapped in exhaustion. And while discipline and dedication still matters to me, I’ve learned something important: Struggle is NOT the price of alignment.

All things happen in the right timing, with the right people, and with the right energy.

I actually made a very intentional decision to honor this word before the year even began. My annual end of the year time does what I need it to do every single time!! God, I Thank You for making me able!!

As I have stated multiple times my friends, rest equals success too. What God has for you doesn’t disappear because you pause. It doesn’t pass you by because you choose rest, reflection, and gratefulness. If anything, rest positions you to receive more, clearly.

If you are busy busy bee...it will take time to allow yourself to rest. Give yourself some grace, and keep at it. YOU DESERVE TIME JUST FOR YOU!!

A few days ago, I caught myself overthinking and right in the middle of it, I stopped. I literally said to myself, wait… your word is ease. That was my cue to release control and surrender the moment. God has me. He keeps confirming that I don’t have to worry.

I don’t have to worry about who loves me, because there are people in my life who don’t just tell me, they show me. I don’t have to worry about my bills, because I do my part. I’m cared for, provided for, and protected.

And in that moment, I realized how much peace comes when I stop rehearsing fear and start trusting what’s already being handled.

There’s a softness to this season that feels intentional. A calm confidence. A sense that I don’t need to prove anything, only steward what’s already in my hands with care.

If you’re stepping into this year feeling tired, hopeful, curious, or even unsure, let this be your permission slip to choose ease too. To stop forcing. To stop rushing. To let go of the idea that everything good must come through stress.

The most powerful move you can make is SURRENDER.

And I believe, deeply, that what God has planned unfolds best when we stop wanting to be in control of everything and start trusting Him🌻

Closing Prayer

God, I Thank You for 2025, all of it. All of the answered prayers. The moments of clarity and the seasons of confusion. The growth I recognized immediately and the growth I only see now in hindsight. Thank You for carrying me through every high and every low, for protecting me in ways I’ll never fully know, and for being faithful even when I struggled to fully trust the process. As I step into 2026, I don’t ask for perfection, I ask for alignment. Give me the kind of faith that may start out scary, but grows stronger with every step of obedience. Give me the courage to release what I’ve outgrown so I can receive what You’re preparing. Do the kind of self-becoming work in me that transforms from the inside out, not just what looks good, but what lasts. Help me stand firm in who I am, anchored in character, not circumstance. Teach me to listen the first time You speak, even when obedience stretches me. Father, remind me that ease doesn’t mean absence of effort, it means walking step by step with You instead of ahead of You. I trust You with my timing, my plans, my provision, and my becoming. I thank You in advance for what’s unfolding, gently, intentionally, and with purpose. In Your Mighty and Powerful Name, I pray!!
