A Soft Start Back to School
Back-to-school season is more than fresh pencils, new shoes, and color-coded schedules. It’s about setting rhythms that help our children thrive while keeping God at the center. For me, this season is a reminder to slow down and create space for gratitude, encouragement, and peace, not just for our kids, but for the adults who guide them too.
Here’s a simple rhythm that may work for you: When your child comes home, give them a 30-minute break to rest, snack, and reset. Then, ease into homework time. Consistency builds focus, and practice truly does make progress, but balance makes it sustainable.
Now, let’s talk about style, because let’s be honest, the kids (especially the high schoolers) are going to express themselves whether we like it or not. And I say, why not make it natural, age-appropriate, and Luxxe-approved?
I know extensions and lashes are high on the list for a lot of teens these days. But there’s a way to keep it cute without overdoing it. That’s why I recommend shorter lengths when it comes to hair extensions for younger clients. They blend beautifully, look natural, and give that elevated style without feeling too grown. It’s all about enhancing, not overpowering.
And lashes? Listen, they’re going to wear them. Instead of sneaking around with dramatic, too-long styles, my 9-to-5 lash set is perfect for young aged high schoolers, especially the recital girlies. They’re soft, subtle, and age-appropriate, just enough to frame the eyes without drawing the wrong kind of attention✨

✨ Reflection Question
How can I create a calm and supportive environment (at home, in school, or in my community) that helps children feel prepared, confident, and loved during this school year?
Lets chat about this in the comments👇🏽
