🍒 Dinner, Faith-Filled Sisterhood, & SoftLuxxe Moments

You know those evenings you really look forward to? The ones where you clear your calendar, light a candle, and decide, “Yep, I’m making this a whole event.” That’s exactly what I did for dinner with my sister-friend, the one who defines true sisterhood: supportive, understanding, and always showing up for me in ways that matter most.

That’s right, takeout. But not just any takeout. I plated that sweet and savory Sweet and Sour Chicken goodness on my Grandmother’s china because, listen, the food might have arrived in paper bags, but the vibe was five-star dining.

We sipped water from beautiful wine glasses (because why not make it feel fancy), laughed until our cheeks hurt, and toasted to life’s little victories with cherry lemon drops, made with dark cherries so sweet they could be dessert. And yes, dark cherry juice pairs beautifully with vodka, tequila, or cognac. This was not just about eating. This was about slowing down enough to savor the company, the conversation, and the moment itself.

The truth is, we don’t always get time to sit with our sister-friends and catch up. Life gets full. Responsibilities multiply. But that’s why I make it a point to turn these moments into something memorable, because friendship like this deserves intentional celebration.

Before the night ended, I looked across the table and silently thanked God for showing me how deserving I am of real friendship. The kind that nourishes your spirit, reminds you of your worth, and makes you laugh from your belly.
